Marketers and Business men do many sorts of experiments be it right
or wrong to grab the attention of their marketing audience. Recently
i just had a look at a small post done on twitter that asked some his
followers to recommend him with some of the blogs that he could read,
asking them not to send the link of their own blog. Later when this
person was asked for a feed back of what did he gain out of all this.
There are two things that grabbed my attention
- First is he generally asked people not to do the self promotion of their blogs
- Second thing that grabbed my attention was that these people were prepared to look desperate and needy.
What
makes marketers generally do such kind of things. Business owners
generally pester and irritate you only when their business activities
is not getting enough attention of their marketing audience. In other
words instead of making thing better and attractive they just try to
push the broken marketing towards you and your organization. This
again can be explained with a simple and easy example. When there is
no one who is subscribing to your newsletters, it is then these
people subscribe you without taking your permission, spamming you at
a great ease.
Attention of your
marketing audience can be grabbed by commanding rather than demanding
at your marketing audience. In short have your marketing business
built in such a way that people will hold and share, and having the
courage to stand out against your competitors. Doing this would not
be a tough job but would require some changes and tatics. And they
are as follows :
- Than demading the attention of your marketing audience, command attention
- Know what brings interest to your marketing audience and then try grabbing their interest.
- Try capturing the attention of your marketing audience through images and a word of mouth.
- Try to generate some great opportunities building a stronger relationship
- And the last but not the least follow these and Results work.
